Seersite respects your privacy and personal information. This privacy policy explains the ways we protect, collect, process, transfer and/or share the personal information we gather about you.

SEERSITE DOES NOT SELL YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ANY THIRD PARTIES FOR MARKETING OR ADVERTISING PURPOSES.

Seersite User Data

We may collect or obtain your Personal Data when you join and interact with the Platform as a User, Professional, Expert, Client, or other role, and its associated activities, such as when you create a Booking or participate in an Expert Session or Panel.

Data You Make Public

We may collect or obtain your Personal Data that you choose to make public, including via the internet, social media or business networking profile(s).

Site Data

We may collect or obtain your Personal Data when you visit our Sites, Platform, or use any features or resources available on or through a Site or our Platform. We use local session tracking to develop analytics around your preferences, for internal business purposes, and to improve your experience on the Platform.

Registration Details

We may collect or obtain your Personal Data when you use, or register to use, any of our Sites, Platform, or services.

Third-party Information

We allow the collection of personal or sensitive information by our third-party vendors and service providers such as Stripe, Intercom, Google, and Zoom. Our Sites may include links to third-party websites, plug-ins and applications. Clicking on those links or enabling those connections may allow third parties to collect or share data about you. We do not control these third-party websites and are not responsible for their privacy statements. We do not have access to or control over the information practices of these third-party websites and they are not covered by this Privacy Policy.

2. Purpose for Collection

We collect your Personal Data for the following purposes:

  • To help us determine your potential suitability for participation in the Platform, Bookings, Sessions, Panels, and other products and services and to facilitate your participation in these activities.

  • To identify projects and booking opportunities which may be within your field of expertise and of interest to you.

  • To schedule interactions between you and Seersite employees, other Users, or Clients.

  • To provide prospective Clients with information about you for a possible Booking or other project.

  • To ensure your payment for the services which you provide.

  • To manage our relationship with you, which includes interacting with you proactively and in response to requests from you, and notifying you about material changes to our Terms of Use or Privacy Policy.

3. Personal Data We Process or Use

We may process or use the following categories of Personal Data:

  • Personal Details: your given name(s), preferred name, and photograph (if provided).

  • Demographic Information: date of birth, title, and language preferences.

  • Seersite User Data: when you sign up to be a User, Professional, Client, Expert and/or other role on Seersite, we ask for personal data from you to enable you to participate at various levels of service, including those that allow you to buy and sell and be paid for your expertise, services, Bookings, Sessions, Panels and other products; we may also collect your payment information, professional biography, and other profile information pertaining to your professional experience and expertise.

  • Contact Details: address, telephone, mobile number, wireless device information, WhatsApp, and email address; and details of your public professional profile(s) andonline biography.

  • Consent Records:records of consents, dates and times, means of consent, and related information.

  • Payment Details: invoice records, payment records, billing address, payment method(s), payment amount(s), payout method(s) and payment date(s). We may also facilitate the processing of bank account number(s), card(s), or account security details and related information.

  • Employer Details: the name, address, telephone number and email address of your employer, to the extent relevant to your use of the Platform.

  • Views and Opinions that you choose to share, send to us, or publicly post on social media and other platforms.

  • Sensitive Personal Information: we collectyour date of birth, and we facilitate the processing of your social security number, date of birth, address, and other forms of identity for processing payments through third-party service providers such as Stripe.

  • Data Relating to our Sites: device type, operating system, browser type, browser settings, IP address, language settings, dates and times of connecting to the Platform, Username, password, security login details, usage data, aggregate statistical information, internet service provider (ISP) details, referring and exit pages, clickstream data, and other activity data.

3a. How We Process and Use Collected Data

  • To improve our website and related products and services.

  • To contact you in response to a specific inquiry.

  • To connect you with other Users on the Platform.

  • To provide and fulfill services on the Platform.

  • To send you promotional communications about products, services, offers and other things we think are relevant to you.

3b. Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data

In Processing your Personal Data, we may rely on one or more of the following legal bases, depending on the circumstances:

  • Consent where we have obtained your prior, express consent to the Processing.

  • Contractual necessity in connection with any contract that you may enter into with us.

  • Compliance with applicable law if required by applicable law or fulfilling our health and safety obligations to our employees.

  • Vital Interests where Processing is necessary to protect the vital interests of any individual.

  • Legitimate interests where we have a legitimate interest in the Processing and we have conducted the balancing test in each case: we have ensured that the Processing is lawful, proportionate, and conducted in accordance with the terms of this Notice; we have ensured that we have a legitimate business need to perform the Processing, and we have ensured that there is no material likelihood of any adverse impact on your interests, fundamental rights, or freedoms as a result of the Processing.

3c. Purposes for Processing Your Personal Data

We may Process your Personal Data for the following purposes, subject to applicable law:

  • Provision of Services: providing services and communicating with you in relation to those services.

  • Our Platform: operating and managing our Platform; providing content to you; displaying marketing information to you; communicating and interacting with you via our Platform; and notifying you of changes to the Platform or our services.

  • Communications with Platform Users: communicating with you regarding your role(s) and level(s) of participation in the Platform, new developments and opportunities, and if you opt-in to receive additional marketing opportunities.

  • Communications and IT Operations: management of our communications systems, operation of IT security systems, and IT security audits.

  • Financial issues: if you participate in Bookings or other financial transactions on the Platform, we will process personal data necessary to complete and audit these transactions.

  • Surveys: engaging with you for the purposes of obtaining your views on our Platform and services.

  • Security:electronic security, including login records and access details.

  • Legal Proceedings: establishing, exercising and defending legal rights.

  • Legal Compliance: detecting and investigation of potential breaches of our ethics and compliance policies, applicable laws, rules and regulations.

  • Feedback: requesting feedback from users to endeavor to improve our Platform and services.

  • Recruitment and job applications: recruitment activities, advertising of positions, interview activities, analysis of suitability for the relevant position, records of hiring decisions, offer details, and acceptance details.

4. Transfer or Sharing

Disclosure of Personal Data to Third Parties

We may disclose your Personal Data to other entities, for legitimate business purposes, in accordance with applicable law. In addition, we may disclose your Personal Data to:

  • Third party processors (such as payment services providers; video calling services, survey partners, marketing outreach providers, cloud service providers, etc.), located anywhere in the world;

  • Law enforcement agency or court, to the extent necessary for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal rights;

  • Any relevant party for the purposes of prevention, investigation, detection or prosecution of criminal offenses or the execution of criminal penalties;

  • Any relevant party if we believe disclosure is necessary and appropriate to prevent physical, financial, or other harm, injury, or loss;

  • Any relevant third party acquirer(s), in the event that we sell or transfer all or any relevant portion of our business or assets (including in the event of a reorganization, dissolution or liquidation) and

Additionally, if you are an Expert, we may disclose your personal information to:

  • Clients with whom we have certain confidentiality obligations and clients who request information about a particular project in which you participate(d); and,

  • Third parties, such as current and former employers and vendors, for the purpose of verifying your background or administrative tasks.

Specific Use of Third Party Services

We use third-party processing, analytics, and other services to facilitate our Platform services provided to you and to help understand your usage of our services. Including, but not limited, to the services and usage of:

Use of Intercom Inc. Services

In particular, we provide sign-up data to Intercom, Inc. (“Intercom”) and utilize Intercom to collect data for analytics purposes when you visit our website or use our product(s). As a data processor acting on our behalf, Intercom analyzes your use of our website(s) and product(s) and tracks our relationship by way of cookies and similar technologies so that we can improve our service to you.

We may also use Intercom as a medium for communications, either through email or messages within our product(s). The Intercom Messenger Apps and Apps in Help Desk products may provide you with access to other third party applications such as Stripe.
